Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MePro (“MePro”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MePro live video broadcasting platform, including our web app, desktop app, and mobile (iOS) app (together, the “Service”). MePro lets hosts run live productions and lets invited guests join those broadcasts with real-time video and audio.

By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in line with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account or sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects and stores your email address and any name or profile details you provide. We use this to create and secure your account, to identify you within a broadcast, and to communicate with you about the Service. This information is linked to your identity and is used to provide the Service — not to track you.

Live call content (camera and microphone)

When you join a call, the Service accesses your camera and microphone to transmit your video and audio to the live broadcast in real time using a peer-to-peer connection (WebRTC). This media is relayed to the host’s studio and may be shown on the broadcast’s outputs (for example, on-screen graphics, a connected TV, or production hardware) and to other participants of the call.

We do not record or store your call audio or video by default. A host or production may choose to record or broadcast a live session using their own tools; any such recording is controlled by the host, not by the MePro apps. If the optional real-time translation feature is used, call audio may be processed by third-party speech and translation providers solely to generate a live translation for the broadcast.

Diagnostic and usage data

To keep the Service reliable we collect technical and diagnostic information such as logs, crash reports, performance and call-quality metrics (for example, connection statistics and frame rates), and the app version and platform. On our mobile app, this diagnostic data is stored on your device and is redacted of secrets and personal identifiers; it is used for on-device troubleshooting and support.

Device and connection information

We may collect device and connection details needed to operate a real-time call, such as your IP address, device and operating-system type, browser type (on the web), and network information used to establish the peer-to-peer connection.

Cookies and local storage

Our web app uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use your information

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only as described here:

Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Diagnostic data is kept only as long as needed for troubleshooting and reliability. Real-time call media is not retained by us once the call ends, except where you or a host have chosen to record it using your own tools. We will delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information. Sign-in and signaling traffic is protected with HTTPS/TLS, and real-time call media is encrypted in transit using WebRTC’s DTLS-SRTP. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage your account details through the Service, and you can revoke camera and microphone access at any time in your device or browser settings. To make a privacy request, contact us at privacy@mepro.live. We will respond in line with applicable law.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
